Rick Redmond, Executive Managing Director, Derivatives Products Group, FTN Financial. 

 

Rick joined FTN Financial in July 2004 as SVP and Manager of the ALM Advisors Group.  Mr. Redmond created and currently serves as head of the Derivative Products Group.  In his current role, Mr. Redmond is responsible for all aspects of the customer derivative business.  In addition, Mr. Redmond is responsible for hedging the corporation's $62 billion mortgage servicing portfolio.  Prior to joining FTN Financial, Mr. Redmond serviced as Director of Treasury Risk Management for Union Planters Corporation.  While at Union Planters his responsibilities included interest rate risk management, mortgage servicing analytics, loan pricing and risk adjusted performance measurement.  Prior to joining Union Planters, Mr. Redmond served as Treasurer for Regions Financial Corp.  During his 16-years with Regions he pioneered the customer derivative business, served on boards of Regions' morgage REITs, and held various senior treasury and corporate planning roles.  Mr. Redmond graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in accounting and finance in 1979 and from the BAI Graduate School for Bank Administration at the Univesrity of Wisconsin in 1992.  He holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
