“Ethical Leadership in the Investment Firm”

Mr. Ware is a principal at Focus Consulting Group, a firm that helps financial leaders understand and leverage their firm’s culture for competitive advantage. His first book, The Psychology of Money: An Investment Manager’s Guide to Beating the Market (Wiley, 2001), discusses his experiences in this regard and provides techniques for developing and leveraging the talent within investment organizations. He and his partners wrote a second book, Investment Leadership: Building a Winning Culture for Long-term Success (Wiley 2003).

Their newest book, High Performing Investment Teams: How to Achieve Best Practices of Top Firms, was released March 2006. Mr. Ware is a CFA charterholder with 20 years experience as a research analyst, portfolio manager, and director of buy-side investment operations. He has taught investments at the Keller Graduate School of Management and written articles for various trade publications, including the Financial Analysts Journal.

Event Description

How can firms develop an effective process and culture for resolving ethical dilemmas and avoiding scandals?
